The Wesley Memorial UMC Youth Group is a Christ-centered, unique, open-minded group that exists to know Christ better and to make Him known! Our group consists of students in the 6 - 12 grades and adult youth counselors.
We at Wesley Memorial UMC believe that our youth are not just the future of our church, but are part of the church in the present. They are important to who we are and are treated as equal members of the Body of Christ.
The youth group is first and foremost focused on Christ. All activities we do, trips we go on, lessons we teach are centered on Christ. We believe our Savior loved us, wanted us to be His followers and wanted us to bring others to Him. We also believe that we serve a Savior who made the earth and all that is in it, including fun. Therefore we integrate fun into all we do as well. We do not serve a boring God! We do not believe church should be a boring place, but somewhere that we experience all that Christ wants for us. We invite you to come and experience this as well!
When Jesus called His disciples in John chapter 1, He told Philip to “Follow Me.” Philip did and went to find his friend Nathanael. He told him that he had found the Messiah. Nathanael questioned Philip about it wondering if it could really be true. Philip did not protest, he simply said, “Come and see!” So we do the same. We invite you to come and see for yourself that we serve the risen Savior!
